The government's support service for young people aged 13-19 in England. Advice, guidance and access to personal development opportunities. It integrates the work of 6 government departments and their agencies and organisations on the ground, together with private and voluntary sector groups and youth and careers services. The site provides help for aspiring personal advisers. |
| National Youth Agency |
Funded primarily by the Local Government Association and government departments, NYA works to improve and extend youth services and youth work, enhance and demonstrate youth participation in society, and promote effective youth policy and provision. The site offers information on projects, learning, conferences and seminars, advocacy and much more. |
| Social Exclusion Unit |
Set up by the Prime Minister in Dec. '97, this site aims to help improve Government action to reduce social exclusion. Read of the SEU's past achievements, current projects and future plans, as well as reports, or make an enquiry online. |

Established to advise the government on all matters relating to the National Minimum Wage Act. The site provides a range of reports and press releases on its recommendations, available on the site or as downloads. |

| Homelessness |
| Centrepoint |
The national charity for homeless young people. It houses over 600 young people each night in its emergency shelters, hostels, foyers and flats across Greater London. Nationally, Centrepoint works to prevent youth homelessness by helping local groups and agencies provide housing and support for young people at risk. |

A national organisation working to improve the lives of homeless and badly housed people. Through our network of Housing Aid Centres, projects and surgeries, Shelter staff provide free, independent to over 100,000 people each year throughout England and Scotland. |

International development charity that works through volunteers aged 17-70. Along with listings of many various volunteer posts, the site provides news and information, publications and campaigns. |
| Youth Express Network |
One of our European partner organisations. YEN promotes and supports training and exchanges of young people, youth leaders and youth and social workers across European. They work to improve the lives of young people with underprivileged backgrounds, and also inform public opinion and political decision-makers about problems faced by their target groups. |
