WORK BASED NURSERY TRAINING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE |
In 1992 JACE (Joint Assessment Centre for Child Care and Education) became the first Assessment Centre in South East England to be approved by the Joint Awarding Bodies (JAB's) (i.e. City & Guilds & Central Council for Education of Training & Social Workers) to both train and assess people for all the new Child Care & Education qualifications.
Each of the child care settings has a peripatetic assessor attached to help guide and support you through the NVQ system.
All our training staff are vocational assessors as well as trainers/coaches and each trainee has his/her own personal assessor/advisor. |

| NVQ's in Early Years Care & Education |
|
National Vocational Qualifications in Early Years Care & Education primarily assess competence in the workplace and check a persons knowledge and understanding via a variety of evidence gathering methods.
Learners are given an assessment plan which explains work to be assessed within the workplace and extra work that has to be gathered together and presented in a portfolio.
For level 2 there are 8 core units and 2 endorsements from a choice of 5 units.
When a learner has completed level 2 there is the opportunity to move on to level 3 as an Advanced Modern Apprentice provided previous targets were gained on time. |
